Call for Donations to Purchase Masks, Protective Clothing and Other Anti-epidemic Materials for Medical Professionals, at Risk Groups, and Vulnerable Groups in Carolinas to Fight Against Coronavirus

by admin 三月 17, 2020
written by admin

Dear CCCC members:

With the rapid development of the novel coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak in the United States, the fight against the outbreak has become a top priority for us. The Carolina Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) and Carolina Chinese American Civic Center (CCACC) will work with Chinese American community organizations in North and South Carolinas to encourage and accept donations to purchase masks, protective clothing and other anti-epidemic materials.

The materials purchased with fund raised will be donated to: 1) medical professionals at the forefront of the battle against the pandemic; 2) high-risk groups (e.g. staffers at airports and clinics, elderly community caregivers, restaurant and supermarket employees, etc.); and 3) vulnerable groups such as the elderly, weak and sick. In addition, we will also open a relief fund to support local families that have been negatively impacted the most by the pandemic.

We have contacted the manufacturers of FDA-certified N95 1860 medical masks, surgical masks, and medical protective clothing and have started placing orders.

In addition, we will also provide face masks at affordable prices for our members, institutional members and other related organizations.

During this extraordinary and challenging time, let’s give back to the community, support each other, and work together to overcome the difficulties.

Details on how to donate are as follows:

  1. Donate using gofundme.com:

https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-our-community-to-combat-coronavirus-covid19?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

  1. Donate using Zelle:

Send funds to ccacc2018@outlook.com

  1. Donate using a check, please make the check payable to CCACC.

Please send to:

Macy Xie, GreerWalker LLP, 227 West Trade Street, STE 1100, Charlotte, NC 28202

All donors will receive tax-deductible receipts for their contributions.

Best Regards,

CCCC Leadership Team
