Invited by South Carolina Department of Commerce, Carolinas Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCCC), China Civil Entrepreneur Delegation paid a short but important visit to Greenville South Carolina.

Led by President of CCCC Richard Yang and Vice President Michael Wang, the delegation arrived at the Clemson University International Automotive Research Center.

There are 10 counties in upstate South Carolina which are located in the core area of the fastest growing Southeast US. It features mild weather, convenient transportation, abundant resources. The most important is that people are unsophisticated and rustic; local government have greater attentions on the economic development and eagerness in attracting outside investment and solid policy in place. Because of this, Upstate South Carolina has been on the top areas in attracting foreign investment in the US.

Due to the fast growing of automotive industry in the area, Upstate South Carolina has surpassed Detroit as the most concentrated area in the automotive and its related industries.

The delegation also visited the Furman University which is a private university with long history , and a top US language and art school, for its academic achievements in Chemistry, History, Music, Religion, Political Science and Psychology.

The delegation attends the welcome dinner and forum which are held in Melvin and Dollie Younts Conference Center at Furman University.
